In 2009, 70% of the 220 trade shows American Express OPEN was attending were in three venues - Javits Center, McCormack Place, and the Las Vegas Convention Center. So, we built permanent locations in each one. My role was to sell the idea to a series of stakeholders and work with the client, our agency, real estate firms, and architects to make it a reality.
